What our guests are saying about their stays:
Sandra2024-10-07 The cabin is exactly as described. Beautiful view and worth the winding drive up. Definitely bring groceries with you because you will not want to leave once you arrive. Read the directions provided by the host and you shouldn't have any problems reaching the cabin. We had a wonderful stay. Kathleen2024-09-15 Amazing views, lovely cabin. Everything was great! Manlyelle2024-09-07 I can not say enough about the Honey Bear Retreat! First off it was immaculate, very open, perfectly cleaned. The kitchen was very well stocked, with pots/pans, utensils, cups, and a few spices. The living space is nice and roomy very open. The porch was nice we grilled one night. The upstairs bedroom was large a very comfortable, with a large ensuite bathroom with a huge shower. Downstairs has a cute sitting room, with a nice pool table, putting game. The hot tub off the game room was nice and well maintained. There is also a second bedroom we did not use but it looked nice.THE VIEWS are stunning, breathtaking anytime of day. The drive up was awesome, we loved it. Check in was a breeze, Laine provided all the information needed for the cabin, as well as local favorites.Once in town there are lots of cute little shops and places to eat. The cabin is also within driving distance of so many great places, we went to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge Tn, Maggie Valley and Helen GA. Craig2024-07-14 Really nice cabin, looks basically brand new. Immaculately clean. Comfy beds. It is a bit of an adventurous drive from Bryson City, so we only took one trip into town or the national park per day. If you have a vehicle with 4WD or AWD, I would definitely take it, and make sure you have good brakes because there are some very steep descents. A vehicle did get stuck in the neighborhood while we were there and a tow truck had to be called. So, if you have a capable vehicle, I definitely recommend this cabin %100. Katrina2024-07-03 Laine's home was absolutely amazing! If you are looking for peaceful in the mountains, this is it. We immediately felt at home. The place is clean, open and uncluttered. The kitchen was nicely stocked with nearly everything you could need to make meals with your family or spouse. The view is fantastic! We ate many meals outside and enjoyed our warm coffee in the mornings outside as well. Laine was extremely responsive to any questions/concerns and provided a wonderfully detailed guidebook prior to our arrival. Our children were asking the rest of our trip across the country when we could go back. We will be planning another trip in the area and look forward to staying at Laine's home again when we do! Thanks for the amazing memories! Beth2024-06-15 The whole place is beautiful and the views are even better than the photos. There was so much to do if staying in and the walk to the neighborhood waterfalls was a hidden surprise. We could’ve stayed there all day. The drive up is really steep. Having grown up in Florida, I never learned to drive up mountains or hills for that matter. Thankfully my boyfriend loves to drive and enjoyed the drive to and from the cabin. I’d also recommend driving up while it’s light out the first time at least. When we had any questions, Laine responded almost immediately. There’s a notebook filled with recommendations of places to go and things to do. She really has thought of everything. Thank You Laine for being a wonderful host. Eric2024-06-11 Great place to relax and enjoy beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Niki2024-06-08 Honey Bear is really a great get away with beautiful Mountain Views. Laine is very quick to respond and is a great host- just like the rest of the reviews said! Rose2024-05-27 Great get away! Taylor2024-05-19 The property was beautiful. Had a great view, grill, firepit and some games. The best Airbnb I’ve stayed at. Laine was very responsive as well.
